Job description

As a Facilities & Events intern, your journey will involve collaborating with external vendors to optimize our office layout while planning and executing various events, from our company-wide Clubhouse events to engaging conferences. This internship will allow you to immerse yourself in every aspect of facility management and event planning. Additionally, you'll be an integral part of our office renovation project aimed at creating a more hybrid-friendly workspace, following and assisting in every step of the process. As our office is located in the Van Nelle Factory (UNESCO heritage), this is a unique opportunity!


This internship isn't about fetching coffee – it's about actively shaping the future of our workspace and organizing exciting events. Whether you're coordinating event logistics or handling administrative tasks, you'll gain invaluable hands-on experience. 


We're looking for an intern, who is enrolled at a University or at a University of Applied Sciences. We expect the intern to be available between 24 - 40 hours a week. Duration of the internship is negotiable. All our interns receive an internship fee of 750,- monthly, based on 40 hours.


What will you do? 

  • Assist in optimizing our office layout and space utilization, together with external vendors, as we are going to renovate the office;
  • Support with the planning and execution of various company events. Including our Clubhouses, conferences, and social gatherings, by coordinating logistics, managing invitations, and ensuring smooth execution through the creation of a year calendar;
  • Assist in coordinating with external vendors for services such as cleaning, catering, equipment rental, and event venue bookings;
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and organized office environment by, for example, restocking supplies and promptly addressing any maintenance issues;
  • Assist in administrative tasks related to facility management and event planning, including maintaining documentation, processing invoices and handling inquiries from employees and external stakeholders;
  • Ensuring that the rebuilt is in line with our company values and way of working;
  • Support in changing our company model from a “Remote First” to a “Hybrid” model

Competencies are key, but to be successful in this role you need to bring a few essentials to kickstart the conversation:

  • Currently enrolled in a relevant degree (e.g. Facilities Management, Event Management, Leisure Management, Hospitality, etc)
  • Prior experience in facilities management, event planning, or related fields is an advantage but not mandatory.
